Combat Service Identification Badges

An Army Combat Service Identification Badge (CSIB) is a metal heraldic device that uniquely identifies combat service with major U.S. Army units. The Combat Service Identification Badge (CSIB) is not discussed in Army Regulation 670-1, Wear and Appearance of Army Uniforms and Insignia because it was introduced after the last update verison was released. However, the CSIB is classified as an Identification Badge and is fifth in order of precedence, which is discussed in chapter 29. The following All Army Activities (ALARACT) references below will help you to determine the correct wear of the CSIB on your Class A and B ASUs, and also the original dress blue uniform.
