Credits and Thanks Page

This page is dedicated to all the people who spent their time and effort to add to this site or allow me to use information from their site. This page is long overdue and I apologize for not giving credit sooner. In an effort to increase the content on the site, I focused more effort on building pages instead of thanking those who helped me build them. I did not create the site to get rich or win awards, I just wanted to help folks learn about the Cav. So, without further ado, many thanks go out to the folks below.

Thanks to Mike Ruffle for much of the info on the Air Cav page.
His site, Eleven Bravo is a great resource for the Vietnam historian and wargamer.

The Curator of Collections for the Third Armored Cavalry Regiment and Director of the Fort Carson Historical Programs Office, has been instrumental in providing content for the 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment unit page.  A sincere thanks for your help!

Thanks to Dr. Howard G. Lanham for the Branch of Service Cord Chart. His American Military Patches and Insignia site is HERE.

With generous thanks, we received permission to reprint the story of SGT Harvey Olsen on the Did you Know page. This information was sent by Mr. Shane Olson, Great Nephew of SGT Harvey Olson.

Thanks to the The Second Massachusetts Cavalry including the Cal 100 and the Cal Battalion for use of the slouch hat image and some great info!

Thanks to Eric J Wittenberg and his great site http://www.rushslancers.com/ for his information regarding the 6th Pennsylvania Cavalry "Rush's Lancers".

A sincere apology for the delay, and a heartfelt thank you for understanding the concept of this site to former Cav trooper William Boudreau. He served the Cavalry in Vietnam and created a page dedicated to his unit.

Thanks to Andrew Staddon, Webmaster of the US Army Info Site
http://www.us-army-info.com/ for links to many of the aircraft photos!

Thanks to "Pastor Jack" for your clipart contributions and information regarding the bicycle cavalry and female cav troopers (which I am still researching!) - ALLONS!

Jay Brown, HHT 3-17 Air Cav (Vietnam) - Thanks for the Stetson photos!

www.KiowaPilots.com - These are my brothers. This is an awesome site and source of a ton of great info on the army, the Air Cavalry, and the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior. Thanks for letting me borrow some pics, quotes, and some great humor! Special thanks to Grunt for the info, Sparky2 for the Kiowa history, and Mrs. Ski for the quote!

Winged Sabers: The Air Cavalry in Vietnam 1965-1973
by Lawrence H., III Johnson is a great book about the Air Cav. Many websites quote this book's information on the Cavalry Stetson, which can be found on my Stetson page.

Thanks to CavalryPilot.com and armystudyguide.com for all the training page info!

Thanks so much to my good friend and former Cav trooper Jeff for all the great humor and training links!

Thanks to Jay Brown (HHT 3/17th Air Cav OPS, Phu Loi, RVN) for the Stetson pics.

Thank you Judy Lewis and Hudson Valley Weddings for the info on military weddings! Also thanks to Marlow White, your Class A source, for the wedding and saber info! The information provided is © Copyright Marlow White Uniform Company, and used by Permission.
