Aircraft

The Cav Aircraft page is coming soon. We will be including links to the major airframes that work in the recon role as well as support our troops on the ground. Since its inception during the Vietnam War, helicopters have played a vital role in the success of the Cav. Air Cavalry aircraft included the UH-1 Huey, the AH-1 Cobra, and the OH-6, commonly referred to as the Loach or the “Little Bird”. Modern-day airframes also contribute to the fight as well, such as the UH-60 Blackhawk, The AH-64 Apache, and probably the most highly utilized, under-rated, over-worked, and most successful airframe in the reconnaissance role, the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior.
