Quick Overview

OH-58D Kiowa Warrior Instructor Patch created for C Troop, 1st Battalion, 14th Aviation Regiment. The embroidered patch measures 3.5" x 4" with a heat-cut edge and male/female velcro backing. The crescent moon symbolizes the night flight capability of the aircraft.

The million symbol below the aircraft represents the over one million hours flown by the airframe. The U.S. Army Aviation Center in Fort Rucker, Alabama is home to the Army's flight school, where new aviators are taught the skills necessary to employ these aircraft in combat. The number "82" below the guidon was the callsign of Jeremy Clark, former C Troop commander and instructor pilot who died in a fatal accident during training on December 14th 2010.
