21st Cavalry Brigade Combat Service Identification Badge (CSIB).

The CSIB design replicates the unit Shoulder Sleeve Insignia, which is described as: On a shield divided bend sinisterwise red and white with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border, 3 3/8 inches (8.57 cm) in height and 2 3/8 inches (6.03 cm) in width overall, a yellow eagle in flight. The eagle in flight refers to the unit’s heritage as the Combat Aviation Training Brigade and the Apache Training Brigade. Red and white are the colors designated for Cavalry units.

21st Cav BDE CSIB - measures approx. 2" tall

Two spring-release clutch fasteners in the back.

Soldiers expressed a desire to display combat credentials and the Institute of Heraldry developed the pin-on CSIBs that are worn on the Army Service Uniform ASU. These Ira Green badges are manufactured in accordance with government specifications under certification number Hallmark G23.

FEMALE - Authorized for wear by all women on the right side of the coat parallel to the waistline.
MALE - Authorized for all male enlisted soldiers and officers on the right breast pocket of the coat.
