10th Cavalry Lapel Pin. Measures Approx 1". This pin represents the Buffalo Soldiers of the 10th Cavalry. This is the second of two pins. This pin has the buffalo facing to the left.

Black and gold have long been used as the regimental colors. The buffalo has likewise been the emblem of the regiment for many years having its origin in the term "Buffalo Soldiers" applied by the Native Americans to black regiments. The distinctive unit insignia was originally approved on 13 Mar 1922. The distinctive unit insignia was re-designated for the 10th Cavalry on 12 May 1959.
